The COVID-19 pandemic remains a significant challenge in California. Many health care facilities, including skilled nursing, are still being affected by this virus. Here at Alderson Convalescent Hospital, we are experiencing increased infections and hospitalizations. Our doctors and care team are concerned about your health and the health of our vulnerable residents.
Updated Visitor Policy:
As of August 11, 2021, new California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations require all visitors to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within the previous 72 hours. Fully vaccinated means at least 2 weeks after the final dose in either a 2 dose vaccine series (Pfizer or Moderna) or the single dose series (Johnson & Johnson/Janssen).
If you are not yet vaccinated, you are required to show documented proof of an authorized (not home-kit) negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the visit to Alderson’s.
We will allow for any exemptions outlined by the CDPH in the state order, as details may change over time. All visitors will need to adhere to this vaccination/testing policy. Additionally, all visitors will need to be screened for illness and required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
Thank you for protecting yourself and helping to keep our residents and staff safe.
